Keri Pierce began her teaching career at the age of 14 as a teacher's assistant to Robin Fincher at the then Rainbow Dance Gallery. She took over the business in 1992 and changed the name to Keri's Dance Factory. Keri has shared her dancing skills and love of teaching with students in Lindale for the past 23 years. In addition to her work at the studio, she has been director of the Lindale High School Star Stepper Drill Team for the past 10 years. Keri has a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, and is currently an algebra teacher at Lindale High School and a Texas State Certified Dance Teacher.
Cindy been teaching for 38 years. She has extensive training in Classical Ballet and Modern Ballet. Other studies include Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theater. Her studies include classes with: Vicki Ramey, Jane Quetin, Ric Brame, Natalia Krasovka, Margo Dean, Fernando Schenberg, Gayle Corkery, Zack Ward, Kathey Ward, Jay Hall. Her training also includes many Master Classes some of those include Arthur Mitchell (Dance Theatre of Harlem), Robert Joffery (Joffery Ballet), Nikita Talin, Al Gilbert, Darrell Redding, Janice Barrenger. She preformed with and was Ballet Mistress for America Dancing. She preformed with The Ballet Jeunese’ . She spent many years with Creative Arts Theatre and School learning all aspects of the theatre. Including all Dance classes, Acting, Singing, Costume Design and Construction, Set Design and Construction, Lighting and Sound. She was Director of the Robert J. Talon Children's Theatre at Main Street Theatre in Mansfield where she was also the Director of the Theatre and Dance School and was also on the Board of Directors. While working at Main Street Theatre she worked on over 100 shows on stage and behind the scenes. Choreographed numerous Musicals including “South Pacific”, “Cinderella”, “Scrooge”, and “Bye Bye Birdie” to name a few. She directed many shows for the Children's Theatre and has had many lead roles in plays and musicals at various Theaters. As a teacher she has had numerous students go onto professional careers including the Houston Ballet, Dallas Ballet, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet and City Ballet and several who have opened their own dance studios. Her students have won many awards at dance competitions including Outstanding Performance of the Day. Cindy takes great pride in giving her students the best possible ballet training and the discipline and integrity to pursue their goals and dreams.
Callie began dancing at the age of 4 and has been trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Clogging, Lyrical, and Twirling and has received numerous dance awards. She has a degree in dance and Human Resource Management. Callie was a member of the Internationally famous Tyler Jr. College Apache Belles where she served as Dance Captain. She was also the Captain of the Lindale High School Star Stepper Drill Team both her Junior and Senior years. Callie has been teaching at KDF for 10 years and currently teaches Jazz, Tap, Clogging, Preschool, Competition Classes, and Teams. She has had students excel at the high school and collegiate levels. Callie loves working with children and enjoys sharing her love of dance!
Molly Long Bacon began her formal dance training at the age of three in Atlanta, Texas, and has studied under such notables as Utah Ground, Denard Hayden, and Candy Crocker Jordan. While her 20+ years of training include tap, jazz, ballet, and clogging, it is her twirling expertise she bring to Keri's Dance Factory. With over 30 years as a dance/twirl instructor, she has produced many award winning performers. Her twirling students have excelled at the junior high, senior high, and collegiate levels. Her students have been selected for such prestigious lines as Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech, Coastal University, Tyler Jr. College, as well as Kilgore College. A former Tyler Jr. College Apache Belle, Molly has a degree in Education and is a teacher with the Lindale Independent School District.
Sheryl Wade began teaching and coaching gymnastics and cheer in 1973, and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology. She has been certified to teach by the U.S. Gymnastics Safety Association was a U.S.A. Gymnastics and collegiate competitor (coached by former Olympic Coach, Vannie Edwards), and was a Nationally ranked USA Gymnastics and AGA gymnastics judge for many years. In 1978, she was honored with an invitation to join the coaching staff of the Olympia Training Center. Olympians, Kathy Johnson and Kristie Phillips, were some of the gymnasts training there at the time. Traveling to competitions all over the United States and a gymnastics exhibition tour in Europe added memorable excitement to her great coaching experience. Following that coaching opportunity, she returned home to Tyler to continue her private program, GymTyler Gymnastics. Sheryl and her husband sold the business in 1997 and moved to the Emory area in 2001. After 7 years as Director of East Texas Twisters in Mineola she opened Tumble Time in Quitman. She is bringing something new this year to KDF, the Rocket Star Achievement System, which is completely achievement-oriented and competitive. Working toward specific skill goals and being rewarded for achieving them, will be a great motivating tool and will help your child develop an "I CAN" attitude, which will carry over to all facets of life.
